Acerca de este curso

Handstand is a practice that goes beyond strength: it requires attention, alignment, and a conscious relationship with fear and balance. In this theoretical–practical workshop, we will learn how to build the posture step by step, understanding how the inverted body works and how to develop the confidence needed to hold it safely.

Workshop focus

  • Understand the mechanics of the handstand and the alignment of the inverted body.
  • Develop strength, stability, and control from the foundation.
  • Explore the relationship between balance, breath, and mind.

What we will practice

  • Wrist and shoulder preparation: mobility and strengthening to protect the joints.
  • Foundation work: activation of hands, arms, and core as the support of the posture.
  • Progressions toward inversion: step-by-step exercises to build the handstand.
  • Using the wall: a safe way to find alignment and build confidence.
  • Entries and exits: how to come up and down with control, avoiding impact and tension.
