Workshop Lowerback (Ingles)

Acerca de este curso

The back is our support system and, at the same time, one of the areas most affected by daily life. Yoga offers us practical and profound tools to care for the lower back, release accumulated tension, and build strength from the root. In this theoretical–practical workshop, we will learn to understand the back, its relationship with emotions, and how props can help us go further without forcing.

Workshop focus

  • Understand the anatomy and function of the lumbar area.
  • Recognize how daily habits (working seated or standing, repetitive postures, lack of movement) affect the back.
  • Explore the relationship between the back and emotions.
  • Learn practical yoga tools to prevent and relieve lower back discomfort.

What we will practice

  • Lumbar spine mobility: gentle exercises to release stiffness and increase range of motion.
  • Lower back strengthening: standing and supported postures that help create stability in the back.
  • Specific asanas: twists, controlled extensions, restorative postures, and counterposes to balance the practice.
  • Work with props (wall, chair, blanket, and strap): you will learn how to use them to deepen postures, maintain alignment, and protect the back.
  • Conscious breathing and mindfulness: pranayama techniques to release accumulated tension and support the physical work.
  • Final relaxation: integration of the practice through restorative and resting postures.
